Indy Shokar

Indy is the Planning Director at 3BM. He has an MA in Town Planning, and over 20 years’ practical experience in planning and regeneration. Before joining the practice, he ran his own independent planning consultancy for almost 10 years establishing strong relationships with a variety of clients from private and public sectors. In 2021, he merged with 3BM to form its first ever planning division which compliments the 3BM architectural studio, but also offers as a stand-alone planning consultancy service tailored for client needs. He has worked in various different town planning roles, most notably at Savills, Shoosmiths Solicitors and Northamptonshire County Council. He has developed particular specialisms in the Education and Residential sectors, and projects involving open space, playing fields, the Green Belt, Conservation Areas and Listed Buildings. He is able to efficiently navigate the intricacies of the planning process, identifying solutions to complex challenges whilst balancing client and local authority requirements.
