3BM worked with Ark Schools to deliver a new build 2FE Primary School on the Burlington Danes Academy site for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The project was part-funded by the Education Funding Agency (EFA) and LBHF. 3BM have purpose designed a two-storey building dedicated to teaching 420 children aged from 4-11, with added nursery provision for 30 children.
Externally the building was finished in a mixture of brick, white render and metal cladding, all adopted to reflect the existing buildings on site whilst ensuring the new building retains its own identity. Sporadic use of the school colours (blue and yellow) create interest, harmonise the primary and secondary facilities and draw inspiration from the listed building façade on the Wood Lane end of the site.
