3BM were commissioned by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to design an appropriate expansion of the existing school.
The Architectural ethos was to include the natural architectural timeline running through the site from one end to another. This was applied by starting from the original convent buildings from 1800’s, passing through their 1960’s school extensions and finishing with a contemporary and modern installation of the new Science Block and Sports Hall. These proposals took their architecture from the existing character, retaining the historic architectural values of the site.
Our in-house planning advisors successfully navigated a number of planning constraints, including a Listed Buildings, Conservation Area, Tree Preservation Orders, Archaeology and local residential amenity.
